What is a hostel?
A hostel is not unlike a budget hotel. Hostels offer budget hotel accommodations but with dormitory-style shared rooms and bunk beds.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. Deposits range from $35, $85 – $135 depending on whether you are paying for one day, one week or one month. It is dependent on type of accommodation and length of stay.
What do I need to check in?
You will need a valid, government issued picture ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.). No membership required, only an ID.
Are linens provided?
Sheets are provided to all guests for $3 for dorms and $5 for private. Towels or blankets require a $5 refundable deposit for dorm rooms and are complimentary for private rooms.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
The studio private rooms at Pacific Ohana Hostel are air-conditioned.
When is check-out time?
You must check out by 10 a.m. or you forfeit your deposit.
Is there a curfew?
No, you may come and go as you please. We have reception from 9am to 12pm, closed 12pm to 5pm, Open 5pm to 10pm, seven days a week. Late check-ins between 10:00 pm to 9:00 am, you must let us know in advance via email. The resident on-site manager will be on call.We will email you a code for the lockbox no-one has to be present.
What means of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, traveler’s cheques, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and JCB.
Do you have weekly rates?
$285 – $320 for Pacific Ohana Hostel.
Do you have a stay limit?
No, we do not.
Do you have parking?
We have parking at Pacific Ohana Hostel for $25 per day.
Do I clean my own room?
We ask that you keep your room picked up and tidy. You are, after all, living in shared quarters with other guests. However, we have a cleaning staff that cleans the rooms daily.
